Dawn May Gunderson, 49, of Williston, ND passed away at her residence November 20, 2024 after a lengthy illness. Dawn was born August 8, 1975 in Williston, North Dakota to Doug and Sandy (Traugott) Gunderson.

Dawn was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend. She was known for her incredible kindness, boundless love, offering a listening ear, and a heart full of compassion. Her nurturing spirit and warm heart touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Whether it was a simple gesture of kindness or a constant presence in times of need, she was always there when you needed her most. Her love for her family was known. She adored her daughter, and was an unwavering support system throughout her life to extended family and friends. Nothing brought her more joy than being a grandmother to her precious grandchildren. The light in her eyes when she talked about them was a testament to the depth of her love and pride.

Dawn had a special passion for crocheting. She spent countless hours creating beautiful, intricate pieces, each one made with love and care. Her hands worked magic with yarn, creating gifts that will forever be cherished by those who received them and finding her favorite character, “Elmo”.

Dawn leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and creativity. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to experience her warmth and kindness. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Dawn is preceded in death by her parents, Doug and Sandi Gunderson. Her memory is left to cherish by her daughter, Olivia Gunderson-Kramer; brothers, Nathan Brodie James Gunderson; grandchildren, Marie Gunderson-Kramer and Raven Gunderson-Maney.

Dawn was a close friend during our youth. I will treasure my many memories of time spent with her. She will be missed by all who knew her. Rest easy.

RIP DAWN I enjoyed working with you for many yours. I also enjoyed seeing all the different projects you were working on blankets, toys, outfits for the grandkids. I love the blanket you made me, it’s on my couch and used everyday.
