June 20, 1959 - December 26, 2023

Place of Birth: Kenmare, North Dakota
Residence: White Earth, North Dakota
Age: 64

LeAnn Gail (Klein) Goettle, (64) passed away in her sleep on December 26, 2023, at her home in White Earth, North Dakota.

LeAnn was born in Kenmare, North Dakota to Leonard and Audrey (Kirkelie) Klein on June 20, 1959. She had an insatiable curiosity and a yearning for knowledge, hence her love of books. Being well-read and inquisitive, LeAnn had a razor-sharp wit and loved to laugh. She was never afraid to laugh at herself, but would never laugh at someone else's expense. Her kind spirit and empathetic nature shined brightly; never one to judge. LeAnn touched so many lives and souls. She loved all children, whether they were her own or any she came across, young or old. She was a caregiver.

LeAnn had a multitude of hobbies including sewing, crocheting, solving puzzles, and gardening to name just a few. She loved the outdoors; thunderstorms, rock hounding, and the river. She had a particular fondness for the beauty of the prairie.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

LeAnn is survived by her husband, Daniel; sons, Andrew (Fiona) and William Goettle; her grandchildren, Audrey and Campbell Goettle; brothers, Allan (Shirley) Klein, Gene (JoAnn) Zahursky-Klein and Robert (Laureen) Klein; and sister, Julia Klein (Susan Baggaley).

I just now found out we lost her. It is a shock and breaks our hearts. On Angel wings you will soar, and know how many lives you touched, smiles you made, care you gave, probably never said to your face. Now, too late, we tell you, thank you for your love .

Leann was a student of mine when I taught in Bowbells. She was an unforgettable person, loved her smile, her positive attitude and her genuine way of thinking outside the box. She will be missed. My condolences to her family.

Lee Ann’s family,
We are so sorry to hear of your loss. LeeAnn always seemed to be happy go lucky, and always had a different way of looking at things that would make you laugh. When LeeAnn landed the job at the nursing home, I thought she met her true calling. I appreciated how good she was with my dad and all the other residents. She had a heart of gold and always willing to help. She will be welcomed with open arms in heaven, and miss by all. Tom and Deb Dignan
