I first met Irene on a hot August day at the Richland County fair about 50 yesrs or so ago. We were sitting on opposite sides of a picknic table holding sleeping baby girls. We had a very nice visit. We didn't see each other often over the years. Usually at the fair or the grocery store. Occasionally we would meet at church. Wherever it would be, we would always have a nice visit like we had been life long friends. Rest in peace dear lrene. My condolences to your family.

When Extended care moved the piano in the lobby of the nurses station, I would play old tunes and Irene would appear walking down the hall singing every word to every song. She really enjoyed the music.

I'm sorry to hear of Irene's passing. When I married Woody and moved to Fairview, I received a welcome letter from Irene with a news clipping. It was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. She will be missed by many.
