I have great memories of working for Joe at MDU in Williston and the surrounding area during the early '60s. The work was demanding and Joe was tough and demanding but he made it fun. I feel that working for him helped to shape me for later life.

My prayers are with his loved ones, in memory of a special person.

Papa Joe & Yoga
Wells Family - so very sorry for your loss. Without a doubt, Papa Joe was one of a kind. He was one of the hardest working men Williston has ever known and, with his beautiful Vi by his side, raised a family & built a business anyone could be proud of. These amazing legacies he left behind will live on for generations in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Hold your good memories close - one of my favorites is standing in his driveway trying to help him master a yoga pose because, at 81…why not? Sending hugs.

Joe was a good man. He loved his Piper Comanche and was willing to entrust it to me early in my flying days, which enabled me to build time early in my flying career and launch me on my way. "Blue skies and tailwinds to you Joe!"

Jackie, Vi, and family: I'm sorry to read of Joe's passing. He was a loveable man and great father.
